My focus on When Pigs Fly recently has been nailing down the menu navigation and figuring out what said menus will look like. I changed the flow around in the front end by adding a title menu to create some needed space for an Open Feint button since we are planning on supporting it. Well, here they are. I think I have each of them covered, but I am sure I will discover one I overlooked once I get to dropping them into the design document. If you have any thoughts feel free to give me some feedback. It is much appreciated.
P.S. As you can see in the about screen mock up I secured www.whenpigsflyiphone.com. Creating a website is one more thing to do now.

Demo Reel '05
As I was sifting through my collection of work from the past years I stumbled upon a copy of my college demo reel. At the time my focus was on 3D modeling and texturing. It has long since been taken off the internet so I thought I would upload to get me motivated on finishing my current portfolio. Enjoy and go easy on me, this is 4 years ago.

X-Ray Monther.
I think I have decided on what my next tattoo is going to be. I have had the idea of a monster x-ray for some time now. Initially, I wanted there to be the bones of a little kid in his belly, but it ended up looking like a preggers monster every time I sketched it. So instead I added a heart to give it a splash of color. Here he is:

Health Care for America NOW!
I recently did an illustration for Health Care for America NOW! in collaboration with my friend David Holtz. The client wanted a spoof of the Twitter "Fail Whale" as shown below:
The initial sketches went through alot of changes so I thought I would post up the images to show the process. Here is the 1st round of concepts:
And here are the near final concepts:
Finally, here is the vector version David put together for the client:

Some More Pig Concepts
I figured it have been a little while since I posted up anything about When Pigs Fly on the blog so here is an update. We have moved into a concept/production phase. I am staying two steps ahead of Hodgeman on what needs to be figured out and then assets for said solution being created so it is ready for him to implement. I have added a link to the 1up Dev blog over on the right side of the page so you can check out more videos and details on the game.
In other news we are going to be doing plush toys based on the pigs. So the team will be expanding into another division whole will be working on the prototypes for the plush pigs. I am not sure if that project will be tracked on here or the 1up blog. If you live around Chicago, like to sew and think might be interested in joining the team shoot me an e-mail at: astronautchimp@gmail.com or post up a comment on the blog here.
Finally, here is a video of some new pig concepts I worked on last night: Cat Pigs, Shark Pigs, Elephant Pigs, and a Cooked Pig set to some Go!team and Pretty Girls Make Graves. Enjoy!

I was recently commissioned to illustrate this year's Chicago RIOT FEST posters. I will be working on the roughs this weekend for approval. I won't be able to post up anything yet since the bands have yet to be announced. Be sure to check back June 4th for the first wave and June 18th for the second.

Munny W.I.P
So I got around to giving the vinyl a coat of primer and doing a test on the actual model itself. Still debating on what to actually color with. I tried out some paint pens and prisma colors and got some mixed results. I used a penicl and sharpie to outline the key features. I really wish I could just use sharpies to get the end result, but there aren't enough colors to do that. I might end up breaking down and attemping to do it with brushes, but I am not looking forward to that. Here are a few images of the the process.

Demon Pigs Fly!
I spent some time recently working on the demon pigs key frames for When Pigs Fly. He has quickly become one of my favorite so far. By making the pigs mostly giant dopey looking heads with nubby legs it is allowing me to play around with facial expressions alone to express the animations. I plan to REALLY push the extremes used. Hope you like. As usual, any feedback would be appreciated since it is early in the development process of the game.

Munny Concepts
I picked up my first blank vinyl figure to paint sometime in the near future. I spent a raining evening indoors doing some doodles and recorded the process. I have included the final image and the video of their creation. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
